The patented RMI Traction Drive
- The RMI product is an example of one of the most efficient ways to transmit power from one point to another. Utilizing rolling motion we are able to transfer power at various ratios with minimal energy loss.
- Through the use of Himmelstein & Co torque sensors we have tested our traction drive against V-belt, direct drive, chain, and gearbox setups. All of which we offer energy saving benefits over. When coupled properly we allow electric motors to run in their peak efficiency range.
- The units have been tested to show a true efficiency percentage in the high 90’s.
- Not limited to only industrial applications, the traction drive can be used in the electric vehicle market and precision applications. Offering benefits such as low backlash and no back driving, it can increase the standard on “high efficiency”.
